My 1st Virtual Meetup with Bangladesh Local Guides - My Experience

Hello Local Guides,

Today I am here to share one of my experience of Local Guides Virtual Meetup with Bangladesh Local Guides. This is my first virtual meet up because now we are lock down in our own home due to corona virus because Govt of India announced 21DaysLockDown in whole INDIA to stop spreading COVID 19. Its really a huge & good decision taken by Indian Govt to stop this virus spreading.

In our neighbor country Bangladesh also facing the same issue. So, We have arranged this virtual meetup & What I say, Meet up was amazing. All the members joined the meetup was highly interested to know more about local guides program & we all have discussed many questions & ans during the meetup. As we are all soo much interested to know more about the experience of all local guides, the meetup duration crossed approx 3:30 hours.

Something what I like the most from this meet up I am sharing right now. Here I get chance to get feedback from one my well known Local Guide & to listen experience of being a local guide from @PavelSarwar from Bangladesh. As he shares his experience of 2017 Local Guide Summit as an attendee & also share the motivational & heart touching story of howLocal Guides community helped bridge the miles between Malaysia and Bangladesh when Pavel moved to Malaysia to study information technology, and @SumaiyaZafrin stayed in Bangladesh to pursue her career as an entrepreneur, community leader and social worker.

Also he shared that amazing article written by @kmajewski in Google Blog regarding Meet the couple that guides together.

Here it is a picture of @PavelSarwar sharing his experience during the virtual Bangla Meetup.

Also another snap shot during our Meetup.

Also @PavelSarwar bhai shared with us his some of the amazing achievements & work, done with collaboration with Google which is really mind blowing & I always hoping to do this kind of amazing things in collaboration with Google. Featuring in official Google Local Guides Youtube channel in Learning How to Make Ceramics - Artist for a Day, Ep. 11 was really amazing.

As Pavel Bhai doing his professional job & following his passion side by side, I am also inspired through him & doing my professional job & trying to follow my passion side by side. In this post I have shared How my local guide journey started : The Most Interesting thing I have done as a Local Guide! mentioned How I am passionate about being a Googler. As per my point of view - Not only who have a special sign of Big G in their profile is a Googler but also who uses Google in their daily life is a Googler.

I have also shared my experience of being a Googler, Blogger, Youtuber & that was amazing. In our Youtube Channel - Glamour Bangla With Tuli we always tried to share genuine content in our local language Bangla & my wife @SadhanaBaidya is also doing the same by sharing beautiful beauty tips & health care tips.

Also during the session there was lots of question regarding The Connect Live 2020 (fifth annual global event organised by Google). As Google has already provided enough information regarding the global event in Local Guides Connect, We have again discussed all the things in our native language or mother tongue to understand more better & shared the official article of How to write a great application post for Connect Live 2020 by @TraciC , We also had a discussion on How to create a LIST in google maps & shared how I have helped one of my friend by creating a list in google Maps on most popular historic places to visit in Kolkata & suggested to check the official article regarding The best lists created by Connect Live attendees by @KatieMcBroom & also done discussion on Video tips for your Connect Live 2020 application by @brittym .

Overall the experience was amazing & hope we will arrange more meetups in coming future & follow our passion which will not only make an impact not only in my nation but in the whole world. About 3 years ago i started contributing in Google Maps & when I am in this journey it becomes my passion to be a not only local guide but a passionate Googler. Now I am feeling happy & feeling proud to be Local Guide.

My suggestion to my fellow Local Guides as per my small experience:-

As a Local guide, We contribute our experience in Local Guide & Google Maps. Our experience help peoples around the world to make the best decisions & it helps to make our world a better place. Kids in India are learning with Google Earth & Local Guides photos & videos shared in Google maps by Local Guides helps them to make a better future. When we put our photos & write our reviews, It really encourages peoples to come & see the beautiful places. Also it helps business owners to improve & actually get more business. Personally its really motivate me when I get a reply from the business owner I have reviewed & my passion helps me to go out of my comfort zone to do more better. So, Its really proud to BE A LOCAL GUIDE & BE A GOOD CITIZEN.
