Music Adventure in Beijing: How to get to an open mic location.

If you like to join an open mic session in a foreign country, you should Google available places carefully as places and times often change. If you’re done and if you are in Beijing you have to find a way to get there. As this happens normally at night time I recommend to take a taxi which is save and economic. To get the address in readable Chinese letters I needed three people from the hotel including a taxi driver. Then the third taxi driver asked, nodded in a way which seems to say: “Yes, I know this place”. It took about an hour before he stopped and pointed to a dark small street to let me out. Here I found a small club where I met two local musicians. These two told me about the music club Lush which I visited the next days in the same way. Don’t forget a Chinese written hotel address to get home instead of being lost in a big city.
