Museum Marvels

On this International Museum Day, I would like to thank @TravellerG for floating this challenge. I mentioned in the comments that I will search my photos and take up the challenge. To my surprise hundreds of photos popped out.

Screenshot of my photos search.

Really this is a surprise to me. I have visited so many museums. I don’t even remember how many museums had I visited. This took me back to my memory lane.

A wonderful revisit for me. I am giving below a few photos which are very close to my heart.

MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY / HISTORICAL MUSEUM, LONDON

Outer entrance view of the Museum

From Inside the Museum

There were many skeletons of different species, like giraffe, dinosaur etc. Displays of minerals of earth, kinds of precious stones etc.

Escalator to the Earth’s secrets

Here we could see the details of Earth composition, volcanoes, earthquakes and experienced how the earth shakes during earthquakes.

I couldn’t remember much about the details to explain. Now I feel I should have written posts that time itself, when memories are fresh. Just as now I have written my Chola Tour series. What to do, I visited this place in 2017, but joined Connect in 2019.

Thanks again @TravellerG Sir for this challenge and I will try to visit Museums again.
Thanks with a request to post your Museum Stories.

Great to see that you too love to visit many museums.

Did you get a chance to make a Google Maps list of museums in Chennai?

Wow, National Museum in London looks so amazing, and has so many different artefacts. I would love to visit it just to see the dinosaur section. Thank you for sharing @Gurukrishnapriya The pictures are awesome. I completely understand your situation where you mentioned that we don’t remember the details of visiting such iconic places to later write a post on it or add reviews. Since the year or so, I have started maintaining my diary where I mention these details so that I can revisit and cherish them. Thank you ma’am :folded_hands:

Thanks @Ssiddharth2000 . I do remember some, but exact details I am unable to share. I wrote a diary of my Nepal travel in 1999 with full details. I didn’t continue writing diary after that. Yes the dinosaur section is beautiful.

Wowww @Gurukrishnapriya these pictures are mesmerizing to watch and I also do write notes whenever visiting any museum or historical place as I have a short memory issue and then after I get back home it becomes easier to write the post or review after consulting my own notes.

I remember by seeing the photos @ShreyaMusings . When we visit many places somewhere we miss things. This visit was long back. There would have been changes. So the details I give may not be accurate to this present. As you mentioned that place was really mesmerizing. For my Chola tour, I continously took notes.

Hello, dear friend @Gurukrishnapriya

Wow…that is very great…
Excellent photos of London museum…
Thanks for participating in this Challenge and gifting this post…
Yes, I too have visited a number of Museums in around 36 countries… but, unfortunately…as you have rightly mentioned… forgot most of them…
Also in an unfortunate robbery in Paris, I lost my life time collections of photos and videos in 2005…so sad..

Once again thanks for your kind support, dear Guru Priya.
Most sincerely with gratitude…
