The museum is located in the south of Mexico City, it shows the collection of Dolores Olmedo Patiño (1908-2002). The space is charming and magical, inhabited by numerous animals.
Among the objects exhibited are pieces by Diego Rivero, Frida Kahlo and Pablo O’Higgins. As well as, archaeological pieces and Mexican folk art.
All photos self captured with Nikon D3200 - two lens (18-55 mm and 55-200 mm).
As common, I’ve lived in Mexico City for my half life and I’ve never been there, do you have any special recomendation for visit it? (mean, is it a big place so confortable clothes is the best, or if it has any kind of restaurant for taste some specific food)
Thanks a lot
Your photos are great and you have an incredible angle for them.
Hello @Sakdra , thank you for your appreciation! Indeed, I have lived all my life (26 years) in Mexico City, and it was until last year that I visited it. I think it’s not a big place in terms of space. Although, kind of far if you are not in the south of the city.
I would suggest just to go with time to enjoy the multiple spaces, including their animals if you like this. As you can see in my pictures, there are multiple peacocks and xoloscuincles. I think it’s the perfect place to just seat and enjoy the vibe.
I didn’t try the food, and if you are looking specifically for their collection, I think it’s not that good compare to other museums in the city. Nevertheless, the enchantment is truly in the building and the history.
Hope this information can help you, I know there were not a lot of recommendations hahaha, but let me know if you visit it, and what were your thoughts (:
