Hi @paul_riedel ,

thank you for sharing with us your nice painting and very welcome here on Connect. This is the official Local Guides forum, so we are curious about your experiences and we would like to see some interesting post from you discovering beautiful things of Munich.

Since you are new here on Connect allow me to share with you the link to Your guide to Connect to make yourself comfortable and understand how to best use Connect, plus a good reference to start writing great contents such as How do I write a post on Connect and How do I follow the original content guidelines on Connect. A good read is also the article which explains What are Connect topics? and what type of contents you can share here.

If you need any help you can always refer to our Help Desk.

You could also introduce yourself to the community and the other Local Guides by writing something about you here: Introduce Yourself January 2021.

Hallo @paul_riedel

Hi @paul_riedel ,

Welcome to Connect!

It is entertaining to learn about different places through drawing, isn’t it? Is this a hobby of yours?

Keep in mind that a best practice here on Connect is to also share a photo or two that you captured of the place you are talking about. You can share with everyone the meaning behind the photo, what makes it special for you, as well as share your creative drawing that you’ve prepared for everyone.

Please keep in mind that it is important to write detailed posts, so other members may learn more about your own photography experience. You may refer to How to tell a story through your photography for some helpful ideas.

By the way, I’ve noticed that your post has a German language label. Please note that I’ve removed it as your post is written in English. To learn more about those labels I recommend you to take a look at the following article How do I find posts in my preferred language?.

Please read the How to choose a topic for your Connect post article before your next post.

Hi Dear,

no, this is not a hobby. I’m a professional artist since 1978.

Telling the history from Munich and Bavaria through arts, make the facts easier to understand.

Even sensitive subjects, like WWII, get a very original and interesting perspective.

Did you know, how to lead a volk just due pictures and messages?

Yes, artists know it. We use a lot of this in marketing, and the substance from ideologies would never be translated without the hands from artists.

THank you for your advices.

Hi @paul_riedel ,

Thank you for taking time to answer.

Just as a reminder, don’t forget when responding to others make sure to tag them (by writing @ before their names) in a post so they can receive notifications that you are communicating with them.

Please keep in mind that a best practice would be to also add a real photo of your painting so everyone could understand what this location looks like and enjoy your arts at the same time. It would be more than great if you could follow this pattern.

Another great practice would be to also add the Google Maps link to the place you mentioned in your post. This will help other Local Guides understand better where it is located and could help them find more additional information such as recently added reviews and photos.
