Mumto Dumplings of Gilgit Baltistan

Mumto Garnished with chili sauce soy sauce and vinegar.

Gilgit-Baltistan is famous for its healthy and organic food the people of Gilgit-Baltistan use to eat only natural foods they always avoid junk food I found a chance to eat there Mamto it is very much resembles to the dumplings of Chinese cuisine I ate this in district Ghizar of Gilgit-Baltistan.It prepared usually by stuffing it with minced meat of cow onions jeera dry coriander coriander seeds red chili and ginger and garlic paste it is very tasty because it is not fried in oil whether it is cooked in steam.

Usually Mumto Garnished with chili sauce soy sauce and vinegar. My kids and I liked it very much and we also tried it in our home with minced meat of goat it was very delicious so I request to everyone who will go to Gilgit-Baltistan must try this food.

Really vegetarian dumpling but @MahabubMunna @ if you will eat minced meet dumpling you will forget everything I bet.

Dumplings are also one of my favorite Asian dishes too. I love the ones with meat and corn.

I haven’t tasted so far dumplings with spices as you shared on your first photo. Is it typical ingredient to add for the Mumto dumplings? I am also curious what does Mumto mean?
