The Mohammadi Wali Masjid Mosque in the heart of Delhi is a quiet peaceful place.
The mosque is located inside the Siri Fort.
I found that the garden surrounding it was very calming and relaxing when I visited here last year.
The mosque is believed to be built on the ruins of a Hindu temple sometime around the 15th century by one of the Lodhi rulers.
It is a beautiful structure made from finely cut stone slabs.
In the center of the mosque, there is a dome-shaped structure, which is a common feature of mosques.
The mosque also has narrow access stairs to the roof that is built into the walls.
The park is clean and peaceful and all in all it is a nice place to have a break in the afternoon.
The dome of the mosque is reachable and looks equally amazing form the outside as well.
This post is inspired by the Gems of the World series by the amazing @KashifMisidia .
