I wanted to visit the “Picos de Europa”, which are part of the Cantabrian mountains. There is a small village called Bulnes, to which you can go trekking or via a funicular, that leaves you 900 yards from the town, which is no more around 15 houses. The food is good as well as the beer, which tastes better after a long hike. You can go for the day, or stay over night, at 1-2 hostels, which basically you share a large room with a 6-7 beds.
