I am a local guide level 9. Since a few months most of my reviews are not posted any more by google. If i object they get posted afterwards. I really don’t have a clue why. Most reviews are positive and i never use caps, or violate any rules.
I don’t know why some of your reviews get taken down. But you could consider the following:
The spam filters react not only to the text in reviews. Also, the photos are now evaluated and a single image attached to a review can result in the entire contribution being taken down.
Furthermore, the spam filters look at your overall performance as a Local Guides and your track record in general. So violations not related to your reviews can result in review sanctions.
You stated that all your reviews are blocked. This is not true. You have added 1148 reviews and currently only 1031 are public. Maybe you meant all new reviews are blocked?
Keep using the appeals option. You are lucky that this is available. Outside the EU this is not the case.
Each successful appeal helps improve the spam filter.
Cheers
Morten
Thanks for the reply! You are correct all my new reviews are blocked. After I appeal they get mostly posted. I just don’t know why i get blocked every time. It’s something new, at least for me, since a few months.
Hi @Ivoh
It would be very helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply. Just hitting Reply does not ensure we get notified by email.
Taking down contributions is not new, but it is very new (within a few months) that Google Maps started communicating about it. Before it took a lot of work to realize that contributions were not public.

Hello @MortenCopenhagen
Ok, that could explain something. I guess then that the only thing i (or we as Local Guides) can do is appeal.
Thank you for the tips!
*Hallo @Ivoh *
Ivo
@Ivoh and @IntranetMiRi
Please, keep in mind that what triggers the spam filter might not be in the review text itself. Try deleting the attached photos and check if your review goes public. If so, try adding the photos back one by one and keep checking. This way you can figure out which photo was the culprit.
Furthermore, the spam filter looks at your overall performance and track record as a local guide. So completely unrelated violations can also cause reviews (and photos) to be removed from public view.
Cheers
