I have a long standing incident that hasn’t been resolved fully yet. In short, most of my historical reviews (~70 of them) are marked as “Not Posted”.
The first time I noticed this was after posting a review on a very bad restaurant I visited. Shortly afterwards, my account got blocked and I was not able to post new reviews - all of them were labeled “Not Posted” automatically. After many back and forth emails with “Google One” support team and sending appeals to the “Local Guides” team I was able to re-establish my profile. Now, I can post new reviews again and my reputation is back (Level 6 with 3106 pts). However, even now, most of my previous reviews are still marked as “Not Posted”.
I’m trying to understand what happened with my profile and how could the community enjoy my authentic reviews again. I am suspecting that the bad restaurant that I reviewed complained about my profile and this led to this situation but obviously only Google can confirm or discard this suspicion.
I have the same issue @drorata . I lived in the Czech Republic for 4 years and most of the many reviews I wrote are now showing Not Posted, even though they did earlier. The don’t break any rules at all.
I was blocked from Local Guides Connect for over 2 years for a reason I have no idea why, but am now on again.
I can confirm from your public profile that you have added 71 reviews and only 1 of them are public.
Google has automatic filters that hide your reviews so only you can see them. This can happen when some of your reviews violate the review guidelines.
Read about typical review guideline violations here. And please see my latest post called 4 Tips on writing better reviews. And this post by ErmesT explains in more details why Google is hiding reviews.
Please use the form called Account Investigation for contributions not visible on Google Maps if you believe that some of your contributions have been wrongfully unpublished. Keep in mind, it takes several weeks for the check to be done, and you will not be notified about the result, so I suggest you check the status of your reviews once a week or so.
Thanks Morten for your reply! I used the form you linked
I believe that something else happened in my case rather than some violation of policies. After all, these reviews were alive for a long time and were never deemed harmful in any way. I seriously suspect that someone manually handled my profile following a false complain about it.
