Ever since a friend of mine introduced me to the google map, I have been continuously using it for going new places, writing reviews and posting pictures. I am always happy to share my experience when ever i go to new places through the local guide program and help other people who rely on maps to get to different places. Being a local guide the most interesting thing I have ever done was adding new place to the map that is attached with me and my family personally.
I originally come from Sindhupalchok District which is about 75 km far from the city i have been living now (i.e Kathmandu). My uncle and aunt who still live in the Andheri village of that district have constructed a small temple dedicated to Lord Krishna near the village at the banks of Sunkoshi River. I wanted to add this temple to the map right after the construction was complete. But I couldn’t do it because i didn’t have my own smartphone. After I received a smartphone as gift from my mother i added it into the Google Map. And guess what it got five more reviews.
Now I have grown an interest in visiting different places which has some cultural and traditional significance and writing reviews about them. I recently visited Panauti Village which has many historical and cultural monuments and I wrote a review of Indreshowr Shrine located inside the vicinity of the village.
I am quiet thankful towards local guides for growing my interests.
