I live in Ottawa, Ontario the capital of Canada. I work in a Bank and my wife is a doctor. The recent Novel Coronavirus situation has been such a challenge for the province of Ontario and as for Canada. I am very involved in my community through work as I do many community events on Financial literary, I also love sports and founded my first cricket club in Ottawa. I am also part of the Ottawa Cricket Council that manages cricket in Ottawa. Since the first case of COVID19 in Canada back in January I was thinking about how I could help the community. My wife is a big motivation for me as I see her wake up every morning and go to the hospital to treat the patients that need the most help. Province of Ontario recently declared the State of Emergency and advised everyone to stay home for 2 weeks and even more. I have been following COVID19 situation through the World Health Organization, news outlet, TV, social media and off course from my wife on a daily basis.
I was getting paranoid to do something meaningful for the community and I started reading online journals, tv websites, social media outlets and newspapers. So I thought why not create a list of all the COVID19 assessment centres across my province of Ontario shares it with my network. So I started reading about Google Maps and how to create a list. I have then done an extensive research to find out how many COVID19 Assessment centres are there in Ontario. After 6 hours of extensive search with the help of Google, I was able to locate all 38 Covid19 Assessment Centres in Ontario. I have then created a list and named it COVID19 Assessment Centre in Ontario. As mentioned earlier seeing my wife treating every patient with care every day and her undivided attention has motivated me to create such an interesting list. I have so far shared my list with my family and friends through every single forum I am part of, every single social media outlet, Gmail, through community organizations social media page and via chat group. I have received lots of praise from friends and family even from people I don’t even know.
I feel like as a local guide we can really empower everyone around us with the information we can share. Today in the midst of this Coronavirus crisis I feel so happy that I was able to create this list that is helping people get the information they need to locate an assessment centre near them. Again my motivation came from my beautiful wife who dedicates her daily life to the betterment of the community as a doctor.
