I’ve done many interesting things in my travels and journeys, but I never expected that as a local guide, I could have real influence. But then a local mom and pop shop that I used changed location. I informed them that their location was still listed at the old venue. The shop owner explained he was having difficulties understanding how to move his shop location on GoogleMaps to let his customers know he moved. I used my account to list his old venue as permanently closed and showed him how simple it was to set the new location with all the details, ensuring he retained ownership of this companies account. His customers could now find the new location and the next time I went in, his wife and co-owner reported just how many people had found it useful. I realised then how powerful the Google community was. Now having learned about lists, I plan to build up chains of information so that other users can benefit.
