Most interesting thing I have done as local guide :Mapped with the help of police

Caption: A photo of the back view of a young man taking a photograph of an empty street with his smartphone.(Alexander Spatari/Getty Images)This is the story I am going tell is that happen when we are doing a google project "Map My Home in my state. This happen when we Mapped the departments of collectrate in Kerala, India. We have permission form the collector to map all the government departments in Kerala. So we started to take photos of collectrate department, suddenly some police arrived and the problem starts, as we don’t take the written permission in hand and they says as we are from some group who try to attack there and they said we are from some group . So we tell to them that we are from the google project initiated by Kerala government, but they don’t hear about this project although. So they kept us in separate room and ask to contact the authority ,we stayed there for approximately 2 hrs there.

We called the district collector Mr. Mir Mohamed Ali and he informed authority to take us to every department and help us, we mapped every department with the help of police . That was the very best experience that we have when we mapped a place.

Really, @nithin_raj_007 ?

This is an amazing story. It must have been so much fun. Was it the same policemen who apprehended you and who escorted you?

How long did you keep the police escorts?

Cheers

Ps: is the photo one that you took yourself?

This Is not the photo I have taken. Actually we don’t have the time to take a policemen photo because we where kept there about 2 hrs and we where little tensed as the scene was not at all good.

Hey @nithin_raj_007

Not the same man, but from the same department and he was there smiling to us. We get only the police escort upto the completion of that departments.

@nithin_raj_007

Only share photos you have taken yourself or received permission to use directly from the copyright owner. Do not download and post photos from Google Search, Google Maps, social media, stock photo websites, or elsewhere on the internet without receiving permission from the owner of that photo. It means that you should be able to demonstrate that you have received the permission.

The best solution is to post only your own photos.

You may even use Google Connects Gallery if you don’t have your own picture.
