Hi, I am Mahmudul Islam. I am from Bangladesh. I am a level 7 Google local guide. I love travelling a lot and love to take photo of nature. These help me so much to be a local guide and be consistent to contribute to Google map.
The most interesting thing I have done as a Google local guide, I have inspired my many friends to be a Google local guide. Now I am telling the story.
I am a university student. I am studying in electrical and electronic engineering in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. I along with my friends love to travel a lot.
When we get a break or vacation, we perfectly utilize this by going to tour. We traveled most of tourist place in Bangladesh and enjoyed the beauty of our beautiful country. We also visited Bhutan.
When I uploaded the photos of the different place in Google map, they asked me why I was doing this. Was I paid for this? Then I told them that though it was voluntary work, you could benefited from this. The summary of the talking is that:
“If you become Google local guide, you can help your society and human being as well as yourself. Let me explain how it can be possible.
If you love photography, Google map is a good platform to upload your photography. Google map always inspire you take photo and upload it to Google map. By clicking more photos and uploading these you can increase your photography skill. Besides, your uploaded photo will be viewed by many people and this will inspire you in photography and you will get mental satisfaction. If you are a game lover, you can take it as online games. Because when you upload photos, Google map will give you point. By gaining more points you can level up yourself. It is really fun upload photos and level up yourself. So, uploading photos, you actually help yourself by increasing photography skill.
Second thing is that, by writing reviews in Google map, you actually help yourself. By writing review on many different places and foods, it helps you improving your writing skill. When you will write a lot of review you will see gradually you will improving in writing. It will also help you develop your thinking skill. When you about to start writing review, you have to think about the place. And your travelling memory is also written here in Google map. So you can never forget any incident of your travelling.
Now, I am telling you most important thing to be a Google local guide. By being a Google local guide you actually help your society and human kind. Many people travel a lot of new place, when you write a review and upload photos of the place, they can get to know the place. It actually very helpful for them.
People who are food lover get a lot information about the foods and restaurants reading review and watching photos. People can easily choose the foods and restaurant according to their abilities and choices. It’s really good feature of Google maps.
Sometimes, we need to know about nearest hospital for emergency. We can easily get information and mobile number, websites etc. from Google map. So uploading information about hospital, market, prayer house, shopping mall is really helpful for our society. It will help you also. Because sometime you need information, you can get this from Google map which is uploaded by other Google local guide.”
After listening this, many of my friends have started journey to be a local guide. This is really proud thing for me because I inspired my friend to be Google local guide. Hopefully I can inspire more people to be local guide and make our Google map great and more useful for our future generation.
