Apart from giving opinions on the places we visit, the local guides are like a family, and the family helps each other, and it is an honor that I am now part of it.
We travel a lot but we are not the only ones who benefit, you are many show us that you follow what we post, that you read our reviews and that it helps you organize your family or professional trip.
These encouragements feed us (local guides), it makes me happy that what I give you helps, it gives me more joy.
Below, I will tell you a little story of these places that I visited by Hazard and that immediately changed my day:
Musée vivant (Living museum): It was a Tuesday morning, I was not at work I felt really bored at home, suddenly a friend sends me a photo on which she had a snake around her neck, and it surprised me.
I asked her where she was and she replied. I lived in the capital Bujumbura for more than 16 years and I have never set foot there. She invited me and then I went away after a few hours.
Seeing primates, leopards, gazelles, snakes, etc … left me speechless, what could be the worst day turned into a great day. I really liked it, I go there often when I have free time.
The animals were treated well. The place is really clean, I even faced the fear of my life, snakes, I even took one (the snake) in my arms. I’ll never forget this day.
Lake Tanganyika (Love of the boat): I was always afraid of the boat, I often went to the lake to drink a beer or eat a few things, enjoy the wind and admire the magnificent landscape. One day, I decided to get on a boat for a short ride of a few minutes, I was so afraid of sinking into the water, the sailors reassured me and I immediately liked it. Traveling to work helped me to visit the big places that I didn’t know. It allowed me to see that I could help others to find places with a good descriptions, enough reviews, good photos, which
turned out to be important because my contents have been viewed a many of times and loved by tourists.
With these little actions, I am able to help business owners by examining their places or their products and also it helps me to make new friends, and this is the most interesting thing I have done as a local guide!
