Many things we can do as a local guide, including uploading interesting pictures and videos, changing information about a place such as opening hours, addresses, days-off, location points, and add places. I will focus on this activity, add place.
The story begins when I have the desire to make a guitar, a copy of Brian May’s Red Special. the guitar is quite expensive and i decide to only providing parts and blueprints then find the competent local luthier that able to do the wood works and assembling parts. After asking a few friends and have few candidates finally I choose Joko Waluyoo (Joko Indonesian Guitar) Joko Indonesian Guitar.
When I arrived at his workshop, I was very impressed with the results he made, with simple equipments he can make and repair wooden musical instruments (mostly guitars and basses) that are very good or arguably world class, moreover he does most of his work by himself.
I feel this ability needs to be widely known by people, when I try to search on google maps it turns out there isn’t there yet, after that I try to ‘add place’ a place with the name ‘Joko Indonesian Guitar’ on google maps. Complete with description, address, location point, cellphone number and also submit the first review attached with photos and videos.
Joko Indonesian Guitar : Some time after that it turned out that this location had seen by thousands of people and there have been several reviews written by customers
This has an impact on the reach of Joko Indonesian Guitar itself, which no longer only relies on word of mouth promotion but can also be searched on google maps, beside that, it can also help people like me who are looking for alternative luthier to make their instruments.
This is my finished guitar made in their workshop
Very good isn’t it?
I hope to make my next guitar as soon as possible.
In this final words i want to say that adding new places is the most interesting i have done as local guides, through this small action i can help others to find what they need or furthermore i can help the business itself to grow and get bigger than before. I very amazed that google provide such an useful application like google maps that allow people around the world to collaborate and keep updating their data.
so keep going Google!! make the world better place! ??
