off late i m about to reach level 9, but in the recent times i m finding more difficulties in adding new places, editing places, removing places etc etc. many photos added are not being reflected at the p[age of the place. Are Local guides only expected to post reviews only?

Hi @VISHALGATTANI All the options you have mentioned are open for the contributions not just the reviews. As far as i understand the edits does get approve based on verifiable facts so some time it takes time or does not get approved(if not many verifiable facts are available). With photos may be you need to explain your issue a bit so that people can able to help you.

everyone of us know the frustration of a “not applied” edit but, as already indicated by @GaganMishra , every edit need to be verified, and sometime there are simply not enough information to confirm your edit.
For more detail about the edit approval process, please read: Why is my edit status “Pending” or “Not Applied”?
In addition, sensitive place or categories in specific areas sometimes are locked for edits to prevent abuse.
Can please provide some more detail about your “not applied” edits, so to give you a more specific answer?

In addition to @ErmesT 's reply, I would like to remind you that from time to time, your edits may not be applied as we reserve the right to disable user generated contributions for individual business profiles and business categories to prevent abuse.

Thank you all for taking time to reply my query… but I would like to mention that a Local Guide knows much better the locality than something else. So their edits should be approved( base on their level ). I tried to add a new vegetable store (upon the request by the owner) near my home in Google map lots of time but it is getting disapproved again and again. So what’s the option to add the place?

Again, I know exactly what you mean.
BTW, also the abuse are made by Local Guides, @VISHALGATTANI , and this is the reason why Google need to be able to verify your edit.
A local guide who wants to trick the system can reach an high level just uploading photos, let say 100 photos in every place, and without making any edit, so the level is not enough, in my opinion, to justify the trust.
I have edits rejected too, and I am a moderator in this community, so I believe I am trusted enough. I am not complaining, BTW, as I know how the system works
