We stay at Kazhakootam which is 13kms far. Still, this is the most visited weekend spot for us.
My reasons to call this spot as one of most comfortable and convenient are
- Spacious and Dedicated Parking space. Not covered and its paid (Rs20. Cash only)
- Multiple areas to explore at one spot - Beach, Small shops for snack and toys
- Old Coffee house for affordable dine in
- Photogenic spots with the mermaid and helicopter
Parking is one of the major factors I like this place. They got EV charging spots too. Found a new food truck inside parking space when I went recently on 17th May 2024.
We generally park the car or bike and take some pics there in the fresh look and then walk towards beach checking out the shops on the way. Sometimes we grab some tea or snack or some toy for kid and head to beach.
Here is a tip. Always carry umbrella with you. Twice rain surprised us.
Most of the shops there provide reasonable tasty snack and toys. Nothing to complaint about here. Make sure to hold hands or watch your kids. Chances of them running and getting lost is more.
Try reaching here by 5.15 to 5.30 PM to enjoy the best lighting to take snaps and the view
After spending time at beach, we head towards old coffee house and finish our Dinner or small snack as family and walk back to parking.
Kids mostly fell asleep on way to home if by car after spending quality time.
