Moonlight tryst with Taj, Bangalore.

After constant whining by my wife that I have become typical husband, not taking her out frequently, I decided that the next rendezvous must be at the Taj, to rekindle our love. Finally the day arrived on a pleasant weekend in Nov 2018, as it was our Son’s Birthday, we booked a deluxe room at Taj, Bangalore.

We were gleefully invited by courteous staff adorned in tradition attire, with never fading smile. While waiting at reception, we were greeted with a surprise that our Room got upgraded to an Elite room on the occasion of our Son’s Birthday. While wandering through alley, with staff pleasantly engaging in conversation while guiding us to our room, our first impression about the Hotel is that of palatial grandeur and pomp.

Hesitating that it must be a customary minor upgrade, our doubts were dispelled with the luxurious look of the room, arranged with impeccable perfection, reflecting the toil of the staff.

While entering the hallway, apart from the enchanting fragrance that filled the room, what caught our attention was the water filled with rose petals in a curvy glass bowl firmly placed on floor as if waiting for our sore feet to dab in and relax.

After settling the paraphernalia and after relaxing our feet soaking in water that dissolved bath salts, we spend the rest of night partly filled with banter and laughs, and partly in amusement with the beautiful window view of Airport. Finally slipped into sleep thinking about the best night we had.

We woke up in the morning to hues of sun rays sneaking through the curtains as though inviting us to explore more of Taj.

After morning chores, we proceeded to buffet breakfast @ café 77. With vast experience of visiting premium hotels across globe, our general expectations on food in Luxurious hotels are low, alas! we were wrong. Sumptuous breakfast spanning cuisines from all over globe, we fondly ate European, South Indian and North Indian cuisines with delight.

Then we headed to swimming pool that displayed all hygienic information like pH, last cleaning date, with every nook and corner reflecting the cleanliness. We just dived in and had a great time playing water games.

While retreating back to the hotel room, we were surprised yet again with the Birthday arrangements for my son, like cake, cookie box and donut box and toys. We celebrated our son’s Birthday with love and fervour.

We packed our bags unwillingly, our hearts longing to stay for more time, we headed to back to home reminiscing the memories we had at Taj, which were the best.

Wading through the ominous Bangalore traffic back to home, I was in quandary as my wife asked when will be our next visit to Taj :frowning: ?

This place does look as great as your photo story sound! Thanks for sharing @chirupolo and you should know that this is one of the very few sincerely positive reviews I have seen about any hotel so far and I work in travel. Can you share if the birthday decorations and surprises were pre-paid service or is that a hotel compliment?

@FlameFox Thanks for the comment. Birthday surprises were complimentary from hotel side. If you want more information you can mail me.:grinning:
