Moonlight Camping In Between Lofty Mountains @Meghalaya, India.

The day starts with a road trip from Shillong, Meghalaya, India to Jowai, ( It is the headquarters of West Jaintia Hills district of the state of Meghalaya, India and It is a scenic place located on a plateau surrounded on three sides by the Myntdu river bordering Bangladesh to the south) It was like visiting a new paradise. So this time, it was Jowai. (i’ll tag the exact place in google map where I had pitched my tent)

Location:

So the voices in your soul must telling you to go for moonlight camping in between lofty mountains layered with dense paddy field and of towering pine trees? Just so you know, camping randomly in the forests isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, it is to feed your wanderlust with some untamed natural environs. This is why you need to head for this exhilarating camping experience within the lush green forests and charismatic waterfalls of Jaintia hills. Heaven in the monsoons,

Jowai is nestled amidst the Jaintia hills, and the best way to experience this place is by camping in the lush meadows or by the spectacular krangsuri waterfalls. Krangsuri can be best visited anytime from the October to April. (Best time to swim, otherwise in rainy season it gets too much of water flow and swimming is not allowed) moreover ensure that you reach the place by 10.30-11.00am.

This campsite offers to rejuvenate you with its enchanting waterfalls, where one can go for boating and swimming right in the blue water but be cautious the rocks underneath are slippery (You should wear a life jacket when you’re on the water, @₹ 30 each

Campsites provide you with a tent, mat or mattress to make your stay comfortable moreover you can purchase the food at the site where food is usually made with local ingredients and of local cuisine.
