Cool places I go to in the Summer is being hosted by @HiroyukiTakisawa
I used to live 10 minutes from the beach, so every other day during Summer, I’d race home from work to catch the sunset. Get home get changed; grab the mini-cooler from the fridge and race to the beach before 6 pm. Layout on the beach towel and settle down for the setting sun. I’d have my frozen lemon concentrate and gin in a plastic cup and slowly sip while snacking on chips.
Depending on the time of day I could enjoy watching the single winged butterfly men glide across the ocean. The sails on their board were beautiful to behold as the sunset behind the horizon and I could smell the cool ocean breeze while the alcohol from my cup filled my veins. Sometimes I would leave my nose in the cup just to enjoy the lemon and alcohol.
Sometimes, I would take long drives up north to a quiet hamlet to enjoy solitude near a meandering river. There is fresh Japanese COLD Japanese sake there waiting for me. I’m fresh out of the mineral-rich hot tub and my skin is still damp with mineral essence. I rehydrate with rice wine then there’s a faint growl in my stomach and I can smell dinner on its way.
Other times I like to head over to Chiba Marine Park to hang out with the polar bears. Watching a 700-pound animal swim so effortlessly in super cold water is relaxing.
The most important way I enjoy staying cool is in a dimly lit cool basement tavern with cold sake and amazing sashimi with someone special. [ sigh ]
Hi @indahnuria and it is so good to hear from you. I love how polar bears swim so effortlessly through the water. Are there aquariums where you are located? Surprisingly the polar bears are big and happy, even in captivity here in Japan.
Hi @user_not_found … yes we do have some aquariums here in Jakarta, Indonesia, like Jakarta Aquarium and SeaWorld. But I guess we don’t have the Polar Bears
