The topic of February: Station

First, I apologize that proposing the topic of this month is late.

The topic for this month is a very simple but very important place for our life, a station. A big station like a maze, a small station like a shed, unique equipment, a beautiful hall, and so forth. Please introduce your familiar station to us.

@HiroyukiTakisawa A station, I will think about it. Normally I drive, so I’m not sure if I can think of one. Thank you for the summary of #MonthlyTopic of January 2020.

Hi @HiroyukiTakisawa ,

I was waiting eagerly for your February 2020 monthly topic. You have chosen a very different topic, which we all generally miss out. Stations (Railways and Metros) are part of our everyday life, but rarely we capture the moments there.

I will post my entry for this month’s topic in the coming days. Would also like to see what others post. :grinning:

Hi @HiroyukiTakisawa , great idea. I’d like to write about an old Train Station, which now works as a small bus Station. It is a small station, but there is a lot of history and used to be important. Would it fit on the #monthlytopic?

Cheers

Hi @HiroyukiTakisawa

I love railway stations both modern and historical. They are often landmarks in their hosting cities. I’ve written about this one before here on Connect but it is worth mentioning again in your great post. It’s named Flinders Street Railway Station and it truly is an iconic and cultural Melbourne landmark. For that matter, so is its famous historical clock tower. It’s the oldest railway station in Australia and what’s more, it’s the busiest suburban railway station in the southern hemisphere!!!

It’s a beautiful station! Thank you for sharing, @AdamGT
The station buildings illuminated are colorful and impressive, isn’t it?

Btw, the topic of June is “A good place for a sunny day”. Do you know such a place in your region? If you have an idea, let’s join!
