Bread in my region, even though there are several types of breads available in my region, one thing which comes to my mind is sourdough bread bowl soup by Boudin SF.

In fact Boudin SF is a longest operating bakery in the region, founded in 1849. They are famous for their “Sourdough Bread”, it is also trademarked as “The Original San Francisco Sourdough”

Key locations are in San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf and Disney Land Adventure park, also there are 30 different locations of Boudin SF through out California. In fact There is Boudin SF in Cupertino, CA just half mile from where I live. They also offer bread making tour in some locations. According to their website, “bakery still uses the starter yeast bacteria culture developed during California gold rush!”

Apart from famous sourdough bread, they have wide variety of breads as shown above. I regularly bring multigrain bread from here. They also have a frequent visitor program, you get free monthly bread part of the program as well.

Here is a collage of photos shot at Boudin SF. As you can see in the picture they bake breads in various animal shapes. You see a big crocodile in the center. In Fisherman’s Wharf there is a huge glass window, though which you can watch all the action in the bakery.

Boudin restaurants serve various Salads, bread bowl soups and sandwiches. Above is a shot of Ceaser salad with croutons and a bread roll on the side and Bread Bowl Tomato Soup. Bread bowl Clam Chowder is very famous too.

Here is a shot of baked sourdough Crocodile (Alligator)!

Shot of various animal shaped breads!

I work at a pre-school location where children can regularly indulge their creative skills on bread dough. But what you are showing here is amazing! And some of these artworks look quite tasty too! :grinning: :yum:

You’ve made me hungry :full_moon_with_face: @jayasimha78 send me a packet of brown bread.

Those breads are so artistic! @jayasimha78

The one with crocodile shape may look scary, but really appreciate the effort in making it.

I miss the tasty clam chowder in Bay area. The one in Boudin looks good!
I tried clam chowder in Pier 39. Here’s the photo
