Today I am excited to share the post for #monthlytopic-June 2020 by @HiroyukiTakisawa a nice place to visit on a sunny day!
Many location in India have a very high humidity rate and sun rays are too strong outside so I love to grab some delicious ice cream from my favourite outlet,
The best thing about these place is they are small yet have incredible and innovative flavours of ice cream which are great friend for a sunny day!
I couldn’t decide which place to add and which not to add so I am sharing few of them where I visit frequently or where I found something unique.
- Pabbas – at Manglore
Have you ever seen a huge restaurant sized ice cream parlour?
It usually has a waiting list, the best thing I liked here is even thought it is ice cream parlour with some snacks (hardly few) there is always rush here.
There is maximum Women staff here, they have some unique collection which makes me want to visit Manglore again just for the ice creams
Here are some sundaes I tried last year while visiting.
parfait - a blend of different flavoured ice cream which has layers of frutis and topped with cherry. and dry fruits.
Pabbas special - here we get a choice of ice cream to choose from we can choose upto 3 different flavours it is topped with dry fruits.
gadbad - the king of ice cream it has 3 different flavoured ice cream layered with jelly, fresh fruits it is very delicious.
I-Pizza - a unique variety i found it is a chocolate ice cream pizza the base is made with sponge cake middle it is stuffed with vanilla ice cream and top is garnished with roasted nuts it is a must try here
the top one is kesar falooda it was a bit mild in taste, was okay!
the tropical dhamaka was unique it has tropical fruit flavoured ice cream and mild taste of coconut.
the tiramisu is a perfect treat for coffee lovers made with layers of chocolate, vanilla, coffee flavoured ice cream and chocolate sponge cake topped with coffee falvoured whipped cream.
2.Brain freeze – Mumbai
One more of my favourite outlet as I love their collection of waffle they have very unique names for every ice cream and waffle here they serve waffle with scoop of ice cream and topping which are pre-made combos in the menu or you can make your own waffle
I loved their mint ice cream with dark chocolate waffle the combination was heavenly.
the top image is of ice cream scoop : cotton candy and chocolate mint both are refreshing flavours must try them both
below two are the left one is my favourite make a long story short waffle (dark chocolate waffle with milk chocolate and chocolate mint ice cream and chocochips)
I love this one cause I am a fan of dark chocolate and mint
second one is you rock waffle (chocolate waffle with chocolate ice cream topped with butterscotch pearls)
this one is a bit sweet a perfect partner for sunny day !
- Apsara ice cream – Mumbai
There are many outlets in different location here, I love their festival special collection where they blend the traditional sweet in ice cream, they have wide collection of natural fruit ice cream, seasonal fruit ice creams are drool worthy, my personal favourites here are
Modak ice cream Indian sweet fusion available during festival time, guava ice cream which is topped with red chilly powder and you can feel the guava pulp in each bite,
For all the chaat lovers there is tangy and minty pani puri ice cream yes Pani puri ice cream
The base is made using pani puri’s theeka paani and it is topped with crushed puri’s and chaat masala
in the above photo there is Paan ice cream on the top left it is very flavourful and had minty taste you will get pieces of crushed paan in it.
right side has pineapple cranberry a very mild flavour which has pieces of pineapple and cranberries this combination was amazing to try.
bottom right is pani puri you can see the crushed puri’s used on top while serving,
bottom left is belgian chocolate and modak ice cream the yellow pieces are of kesar modak (this flavour is available only in festival time)
my ideal place to visit on sunny day are these wonderful ice cream parlours to try different flavoured ice icreams and sundaes
