#MonthlyTopic - January 2021 - Refreshing Fruit Tea

Hello Local Guides

I am very happy to join the monthly topic by @HiroyukiTakisawa this month is all about beverages.

In India we usually consume various herbal tea’s and herbs infused milk.

Few days back I spotted this little place called Kamdar milk point

While I was searching for tea shop.

This is a small dairy which sells milk products, packaged juices, flavoured milk and there was a small counter outside which had list of Arabian tea.

Curious to try I planned to opt for fruit tea.

The person started making i recorded the whole video to share with you all :slightly_smiling_face:

First they squeezed lemon in the cup, after that added black pepper powder, honey, fresh pineapple, boiled black tea and basil seeds.

Mixed it well and served hot.

With the very first sip I felt very refreshing.

The sweet tangy flavour and the spiciness of pepper made a perfect combo.

I found this drink really great.

The price of tea was very minimal and also better than the flavoured tea I had earlier at a cafe.

This is also one of the reason I love to explore food and drinks at small and local places they have very different things to offer at a less price.

Have you ever tried fruit tea?

Does the tea come with freshly manicured nails?

Nice cover photo @FalguniP

I like fruit teas, but I don’t quite understand, it’s like they give me a heartburn (the ones I have tried), maybe there is something I am not doing well. I have never tried taking it in a shop though.

Hello, @FalguniP

Thank you for sharing. The video is also nice!
Are they fruit-flavored tea? I’m basically a coffee lover but like such kinds of tea as well. Unfortunately, we cannot find such stalls in Japan, so we usually drink them at home or in a cafe. My favorite is a refreshing and dry flavor like lemon or ginger :tropical_drink:

@RosyKohli this one was very unique

I hope we have some more counters like this one soon :slightly_smiling_face:

@Wisnusetiono @SajjadNiazi @abhishekpatk indeed it’s really tasty and worth a try if you like to try new things and also a great option if you don’t like milk tea :slightly_smiling_face:

@Ewaade_3A you should never have a tea empty stomach if you get heart burns, you can try having some snack along with it.

Fruit tea which I had earlier were just flavoured one but this one is spiced and contains real fruit.

Ps. The nails were randomly painted

@HiroyukiTakisawa thank you so much :slightly_smiling_face:

Usually we get flavoured tea but this is different it was a black tea, where they added lemon, pepper powder, honey and fresh pineapple pieces. It had the natural flavour and contains no artifical flavour.

We usually have milk tea and coffee shops in every corner but this is something new.

I have never seen such counter before so I thought of giving it a try.

If you Visit India you will get different varieties of teas and coffees in different part of country

I am sure you will love them all !!

Randomly painted, we are counting the colors now, maybe we will see “green” or “yellow” or “pink” next. No, Falguni, I am not trying tea in anyway. When I come to Mumbai, maybe you will make me try one.

Tea gives me heartburn and I have given up on trying them. @FalguniP
