There are always a lot of pigeons here.
They are much fewer than they used to be, but they are always full of them.
They are not afraid of people and will come to anyone who feeds them.
If you throw them food, they will fly after you!
When small children spread the food, the pigeons can rush in and make them cry!
I have fond memories of worshipping with my grandfather, who died long ago, and feeding the pigeons.
When the timing is right, you get to see a low-altitude group flight show!

ここにはいつもたくさん鳩がいます。
昔に比べると随分減りましたが、いつも鳩でいっぱいです。
彼らは人を恐れず、餌を与えてくれる人には寄って来ます。
餌を投げると飛んで追いかけていきます！
小さなお子さんが餌を撒くと、鳩が一気に押し寄せて泣いちゃうことも 
随分前に亡くなった祖父と一緒に参拝して鳩に餌をあげていたのは良い思い出です。
タイミングがいいと低空集団飛行ショーを見ることができますよ！
