Travelling at the near end of the monsoon season in the western ghats region of south India is a very unique experience. The whole landscape has turned green and the numerous destinations in the ghats have a clean wash, up & down and inside & outside, look. The air is clean freed from dust and pollutants. Its best to drive or ride in your own transport as it gives liberty to stop and go and time to look at the scenic spots and enjoy what nature has to offer amidst these hills.
One such destination is in the Virajpet area. It has many resorts of which Club Mahindra’s Resort stands out.The place has a swimming pool and all the modern comforts. Booking is very important as it can get quite crowded. Usually it is in the holiday season in the cities that people venture out to these destinations. What I love to share is in the timing. At the near end of the monsoon season is the best time for me as the crowds are thin and all facilities are available on request. Swimming in the pool even in the rain is awesome as the pool temperature is quite warm. Morning walks, treks are blissful too in the mist and dew drops. Fresh vegetables are plenty and nearby restaurants too cater to every taste. Company makes a lot of difference in a tropical Goldilocks zone.
Sharing such content is important to me as it gives a sense of satisfaction and pride to know that someone somewhere found it beneficial and quite accurate.
