Monarch Butterfly Grove in Pismo Beach State Park is a great place to visit to enjoy the clusters of butterfly. Pismo Beach is located in California. USA. It is around 4hrs drive from San Francisco, CA.
Monarch Butterfly season from late October to February. During some of the seasons there can be 10000+ butterflies.
Grove is open during the season and staffed. Grove is full of eucalyptus trees. Pathway through the grove eventually leads to Pismo beach.
Take your cameras and binoculars to capture the pictures and watch them up close. It is a great place to visit.
This place looks amazing, I’ve never seen anything similar to it. How did you find it? Do you like butterflies and especially looked for places like this? Is there an entrance fee, and how is the working time?
@Petra_M Thanks! There was no entry fee when I visited. Grove is staffed (probably volunteers), they provide more information on butterflies). We were in Pismo Beach and neighboring towns, we ran in to this by looking up things to do in that place.
