I love planning each summer for Mommy’s Camp, now in our 10th year. I enjoy researching new places and ideas of how to enrich my children’s lives during summer vacation. We started as a family with 3 little kids, narrowing my choices to places geared for under 5 years old. At this point, we are a family of 5 with a spread of ages, which makes planning more challenging. Originally I started a blog to share the calendar and then write reviews about each place we visited, giving information like pricing, age recommendation and if the kids liked it. That turned out to not fit within my hectic schedule. Then Google Local Guides came into my life and it was the perfect platform to reach other Moms with all the information I wanted to share. It is a valuable, time-saving tool for both my planning and sharing reviews. It has influenced my decision making for the good and I hope my reviews have done the same for other Moms out there. I especially loved it when I was reminded to “share your reviews” every time I opened Google Maps (can you bring that back?). In today’s fast-paced world, every minute is precious and being a Google Local Guide allows me to help others use their time efficiently.
