Tazing Dong (also known as Bijoy) is a mountain peak in Bangladesh. Officially, it is the highest mountain peak in Bangladesh and is located in the Saichal Range of Ruma Upazila in Bandarban District, southeastern Bangladesh. The official elevation of Mount Tazing Dong is 1,280 meters (4198.4 ft). In the language of the local tribes, the word ‘Tazing’ means big and the word ‘Dong’ means mountain. That is, the full name of Tazing Dong stands for Big Hill. Recently I trekked to the Tazing Dong mountain. The trekking was 5 nights and 4 days. During Trekking I have taken photographs through my mobile device Samsung S22 plus which I want to share.
As stated in that post we stayed at Sherkor Para (it is a small village of hilly indigenous people where 20-25 houses exists. Travelers to hilly areas usually stay overnight in such neighborhoods). Now I will depict day 4’s Pictorial travel with you. In this day I traveled Tazing Dong mountain.
Nice photography including the wild flowers. The hill view of photos is nicely captured. I never went there. Thanks @SanjayBDLG vai for awesome trekking information.
I’m always curious to see how people live in other countries and regions. I’ve never lived in the mountains, so those are some of the most interesting to me. This post was very informative and I enjoyed the photos.
#8 would be my favorite, as it shows how people live on Tazing Dong. Thank you for sharing.
@Mikeinthefalls Thanks for your comment. Thanks for your curiosity. These hilly people used to live in calm and quite places. The tribal people are extremely self-reliant, they grow their own food, their girls weave their own clothes and generally speaking, they live a simple life. They cultivate Jhum in the mountain valleys. Springs are their sources of drinking water.
I will post how we trek to the Tazing Dong Mountain next.
