Mobile Photography during Trekking to Tazing Dong Mountain - Day 1

Tazing Dong (also known as Bijoy) is a mountain peak in Bangladesh. Officially, it is the highest mountain peak in Bangladesh and is located in the Saichal Range of Ruma Upazila in Bandarban District, southeastern Bangladesh. The official elevation of Mount Tazing Dong is 1,280 meters (4198.4 ft). In the language of the local tribes, the word ‘Tazing’ means big and the word ‘Dong’ means mountain. That is, the full name of Tazing Dong stands for Big Hill. Recently I trekked to the Tazing Dong mountain. The trekking was 5 nights and 4 days. During Trekking I have taken photographs through my mobile device Samsung S22 plus which I want to share.

On Day 1, though our Journey starts from Dhaka but I will depicts below from Thanchi, Bandarban from where our trekking to the Tazing Dong Mountain started.

Photo 1: At Thanchi I saw the beautiful Sangu river. The river was dry in winter. Sangu is a river in Chittagong and Bandarban districts of eastern hilly region of Bangladesh. According to the nature of the hilly area, small mountain rivers or streams created from numerous small springs join the Sangu river. We had to go by small boat for about three hours.

Photo 5: Remakri is a canal of Sangu river where it joins the Sangu river in the form of a waterfall, creating a place of great beauty. The crystal clear waters of the Remakri canal and the song of the springs and the forest nature have become one. There are two Marma tribal neighborhoods and a market run by tribal traders.

Photo 7: Nafakum Khumtaya Falls were not the regular falls one can imagine. It is one of those distinctive falls where water streams through steps of rocks made by flowing waters over thousands of years.
