Missing Views of Pics

Somehow the views of my posted pics went from 980,000 to 745,000. It happened sometime in the last 10 days or so. A number of my pics showed 0 views even though there had been thousands of views previously. This happened once before and it was resolved by ??? someone???

Any ideas for a fix or how to report would be great!

Somehow 250,000 views of my photos disappeared. I have posted 254 photos and 71 reviews and have attained Level 6 as a Local Guide. Any ideas who I can contact?

That’s something unusual @TimGadus

Seven pics out of two hundred and fifty-four are now private.
Further, for some photos, I do find the place name as unknown.
However, the accumulated views of these would continue to contribute to the total number.

Did you delete reviews along with accompanying photos?
Do you remember the correct quantum of photos?
Please note, the system may remove some of the contributions if there is a non-conformance to the local guides community policy.
That says, “Dark, blurry, and redundant photos will be removed”.

Further, do you have any latest congratulatory email mentioning the number of photo views? Is there any variance as compared to that? That information will help in understanding the exact nature of the problem.

My December accomplishments email showed

97641 views of photos for the year

and

15773 views of my reviews for the year

These counts are reversed. It also said I was in the top 5% of Guides in my area.

I opened the link in the email for Local Guides that linked to the new settings page but didn’t change any info there. There’s nothing else I’ve done to my pics or reviews. Is it possible my Guide contributions were hacked? I had a similar problem in 2019 that other guides also had problems with where view counts were somehow reduced.

Hi Morten, Thanks for following up. Here’s my update…

  • counts are the same on iPhone and MacBook Pro right now at 767,888 for pics

and 99,950 for reviews

  • the pics numbers are well below the >920,000 I had previously

You mentioned that a number of my pics were listed as private. I don’t know how to make pics private or limit who can view them. I had a post about a similar problem over a year ago where my counts were not updating and others had stated a similar issue.

Any help would be welcome as I want to top 1M views on my pics!
