The summary of topics on New Connect displays 102, while only 94 are available when checked in detail. Eight posts/topics I contributed to on the previous platform are missing in New Connect. These missing items are suspected to be related to RoadMapper.
I previously submitted a feedback report regarding this issue, but it has not yet been resolved. I am looking for the cause of these missing RoadMapper-related topics and a solution to restore them to New Connect.
The road Mapper section of Connect wasn’t migrated, like many other parts of the community, @PrasadVR , like idea exchange.
As a consequence some users lost some badge about number of posts and solutions
You are welcome, @PrasadVR
As I lost a few badges with the migration I asked myself the same question, and after a quick investigation I realised what I told you
Dear @ErmesT, We highly value badges on Connect and view them as powerful motivators. Losing a badge, no fault of ours, due to a migration-related technical issue is disheartening. I hope Google will be kind and restore the situation.
I was pretty bummed out to see that Road Mapper didn’t make the cut in the transition. But, looking at how many posts were incorrectly associated with it and the limited number of registered users (maybe we can get some new ones soon), it’s understandable.
That’s an interesting comment, Jake. Is Road Mapper even operated by Google, or is it completely independent? We know that the activities on Road Mapper do not earn any points or levels on the Google Maps platform.
There would probably be a lot more registered users If it wasn’t invitation-only, but those of us who’re on, are very passionate about it.
Being an extension of the regular maps URL leads me to believe Google is running the show. I would have to defer to those lucky few who were at the Connect Live event where Googs released it to give any known details on the intent, aside from what is described on the site itself, and why there is such a limited number of users.
