I am never a fan of crowded moment giving the fact that when I was a kid I witnessed some tragedy with house on fire, a robbery at my house at midnight which involved all cheering and screams. Another reason is that, I don’t feel safe in the crowds. However, when I was in New Zealand 5-6years ago I got a chance to join in mega event and it is different. I felt very safe there.
Lovely Pipes and Drums band, with young and senior artists in Anzac parade in 2015I joined in few events such as the graduation parade, the AllBlacks champion return home parade, the Anzac parade, and the musical parade. Moreover, I also went into the stadium to watch AllBlacks Rugby Team matched with Australian team and I think the first one was the parade of graduation ceremony of Victoria University where students walked section by sections up to the river front where they will meet the Mayors. The ceremony itself in the hall was also exciting, 2014. Another mega one is musical parade, and firework in Spring and few more which I cannot recall its names.
AllBlacks Champion return home parade
The crowds were cheering the returns of AllBlacks stars
Another parade was the annual event called Anzac Day: an event to Honour, reflect, remember those who lost lives in the World War. It is arranged annually by Wellington City Council, around April 23-25, 2015. Sir Peter Jackson, known for his work in Lord of the Rings and Hobbit was also in this parade. I felt to recognize him but he was in the parade, a video of the whole parade that year can be found here.
Pipes and Drums, I just love the sound of this band [ANZAC Parade]
Another parade I joined was when New Zealand won Rugby world cup squad 2015 in UK. I once watched the Rugby between Australia and New Zealand in the Westpac Stadium (known now as Sky stadium). It was extremely exciting.
