Mirbat Fish Port

I recently visited the Mirbat Fish Port, in Oman.

Growing up next to the sea in New Zealand, I always enjoy going back to the sea when I’ve been away from it for a while. I find it relaxing and can just lie down anywhere and listen to the waves, birds, and anything else associated with the sea.

The Mirbat Fish Port is the main fish port in the south of Oman, so is usually a hive of activity. I visited on Friday so it was first day of weekend and was very quiet. A few small boats on the water and a large diving boat was being fueled up. It was great and I enjoyed arabic coffee and dates with some local fishermen.

See my review, photos, and video here.

Hello @TheEagleEye ,Your many post from the middle East has been quite interesting and thanks for sharing them. Good you visited a fish port in Oman. It was a nice way to relax over the weekend. I don’t have such experience of going to any fish port apart from usual boisterous markets near the lagoon of Lagos. It nice you enjoyed the scene and compliment it with Arabic coffee

Thanks for message @Emmik20 . I’m pleased you like my recent posts.

It would be nice to see a post by you about the boisterous markets near the lagoon of Lagos. I along with many local guides like markets so I’m sure we would like to read about the market near you and see photos.

Arabic coffee is very refreshing and I will add that I accompanied it with eating dates.
