If you have 499 characters out of 500 you can make an announcement. If you have 500 out of 500 you cannot. Not a biggie and certainly not urgent.

Ok… is it possible that this resulted in non communication of this announcement…?
Hi @GhazalaShah it is fairly obvious to the person making an announcement that it wouldn’t have been sent in this case.
Note that these announcements only go to people who have RSVP to the event. The audience for this announcement was the people who RSVP to my Melbourne 36walk, I reduced it by one character and was able to send it out.
