Hey folks! Let me tell me you about a hidden gem in the Twin Cities…Minnehaha Falls in South Minneapolis. Seriously. People come to the Twin Cities for alot of things. The Mall of America, hockey, the Boundary Waters, hunting/fishing, the sports scene, etc. But there a few places in Minnesota that people don’t give enough credence to. One of those place is Minnehaha Falls. Perhaps it’s because Fort Snelling and the Mississippi River are so huge in the local area. There are few places that are so beautiful and inspiring as the Falls. The place takes on a personality of it’s own each and every season. Even when it’s flooded or in a drought, it’s still gorgeous. It also allows for so many different activities. We’ve had picnics, family outings, ice cream, biked, walked the dog, exercised on the stairs, waded in the creek, walked the trails, tossed a frisbee around, been to the local events, and just sat on the beach down the creek watching the falls meet the Mississippi. I call it my place of zen. Sometimes, I go behind the falls just to listen to the sheer power of the Falls. It’s truly breathtaking. If you haven’t checked out Minnehaha Falls, you’re missing out…
