  • We all know that 2020 was a difficult year worldwide, especially for our kids who were forced to stay home to learn through social distancing. As many of us know, this was not easy for our students and many are falling behind in their education. For this reason, the Miranda Rivera family decided to build mini public libraries throughout our comminuty. This is the first of many.

    The goal was to invite the kids in our community to be part of the building and decoration of this project. We are happy to inform you that it was a huge success. The kids had a great educational experience and were eager to read the books.

  • With the help of google maps, we were able to share the address of this site so many can have access to this mini library. We invite you to take as many books as you like and you are also welcome to donate any books that you have already read.

Congrats for making such an amazing initiative! :blush: Giving a good example to others is always something that can be admired.

I wanted to kindly remind you to being careful about posting pictures of children online. Are you the parent of the children on the photo? As Local Guides Connect is a public community, photos with random children are not encouraged to be posted and such photos need to be removed.

Lost 2019 when I visit San Jose that time I saw that a small book library in a park. Really surprised that it’s a very good initiative to back and make interest read again paper book . Thanks a lot for sharing with us @MirandaRivera5

Hello @TsekoV @Thank you for the reminder, and yes i am the father of this kid. I thought this platform was safe enough to promote the safest data products

Q- how can you used Google maps to encourage families with kids to travel and explore safe places?

Some parents believe that traveling life is over after you became a parent,

Not if you involve the childrens do to what you like, maybe they like it too and becomes better that us.

But i understand the situation, feel free to remove the picture if is necessary.

Hi @MahabubMunna I am glad that this can make positive impact for outside travelers, and leave with the idea that USA has its good citizens too like anywhere else.

The idea is to maintain the old culture of reading and interacting physically since we are doing everything digital.

@Pratik_89 hi friend. I am glad you like it.

You can take all the books you need and keep them if you like, and if you have a book that you no longer need this is the place where you can donate them. and that is how this mini library keeps on going with the cycle.
