Collaborate in improving the signs of the routes, especially the roads used by mountain bikers (MTB) that are not found on any map.
On some roads it is very common to find road signs that are in poor condition due to weather conditions or for all the time they have been in the same place without any maintenance. It is very frequent even, not see any signs in some places, from there I like to collaborate in improving the signs of the routes, especially the roads used by mountain bikers (MTB) that are not found on any map. This is my first contribution:
Pico el Águila - Mucumpiz – Caja Seca:
The beginning of this route is in the Collado del Condor (Pico El Águila): Place of incomparable beauty, from this place we take the paved road of agricultural penetration, which communicates with the population of Piñango (Pueblo de la Sal). We travel this road until we reach the upper part of the Mifafí Valley, from there we have a visual of the impressive landscape of this beautiful site. This stage includes 34 km of route, of which there is an accumulated descent of 3,830 meters and an accumulated ascent of 1,670 meters.
From the paved road down to the bottom of the valley of Mifafí by the dirt road, which allows the descent by mountain bike, with a certain level of difficulty, which make the journey exciting and fun. At the bottom of the valley, a rather flat place, from this point you can follow the routes to La Toma Alta, continuing the road through the Mifafí Valley, towards the town of Mucumpiz along the well-defined path or trail in a south-west direction, passing through the Los Caracoles sector. We found two stops at 4,300 (m,s,n,m,), the most demanding part of the walk, where height becomes important; It is recommended to advance at a sustained pace without going to the maximum capacity and breathe easily, since oxygen levels are low and any extra effort generates wear. After crowning the second stop in La Ventana, we went down to Mucumpiz, they are 17 km downhill in different degrees of difficulty.
In this part of the road, there is not type of signals. In April of the year 2015, a group of 09 cyclists was lost in this area for 03 days, where they were rescued by Civil Protection and firefighters. The temperature in this area during the day is close to 06 degrees Celsius, while at night it can reach up to 02 degrees Celsius. Next, I share with you in * .gpx format, the route that you can load in your GPS in order to avoid any similar event, in the following link:

The route from Mucumpiz to Caja Seca covers 44 km of route, of which there is an accumulated descent of 3,920 meters and an accumulated ascent of 1,980 meters, you cross the town of Torondoy and Las Rosas sector before reaching Caja Seca. The temperature changes radically, it is a more tropical climate and the closer you get to the town of Caja Seca you begin to feel the heat. The landscapes are beautiful and the green of the vegetation permeates all the hills. This stage has appropriate signaling, in any case, this is the route in * .gpx format:
