I’ve been looking at Local Guides Connect lately and i’ve noticed that there isn’t many discussions based in South Florida/Miami.
Is there anyone involved around this area? I’ve loved to meet some new people and explore!

Hey @MiamiGirl ! Welcome to our Local Guides community! There are quite a bit of us who are involved, as you’ll see on our G+ page. We’re still a relatively growing city for Local Guides and we’ve had a few events/meet-ups in the past. Personally I hope to host one in the few coming months as I’ve been busy between work and grad school but I would definitely encourage you to look into hosting a meet-up! Also, encourage your friends to join as well - being a Local Guide has opened my eyes to so many aspects of our city, it’s amazing what you’ll find when you’re exploring and helping to improve the community.

Same here! I’m thinking perhaps too many Miamians live completely virtual lives----how depressing I am a 6th generation Miamian who has lived,attended schools,parties sporting events etcetcetc from Key West to Palm Bch County…I am firmly connected to the coconut telegraph and I rarely go anywhere without seeing someone I know. I am very open-minded and will attend any sort of event or business…I have been a member of all the best country clubs and a professional dive bar A-ttendant --I guess all by the benefit of my pioneering family ,I know a lot about a lot of everything here BUT I don’t know everything about anything

Thanks @Mickey_Miami ! It was an experience that words alone can’t begin to explain. Such an amazing opportunity to meet others from all walks of life committed to the same goal of improving maps and traveling for everyone. I hope to host a meetup in November so be on the lookout!
