Methu Vadai, (மெதுவடை)

During the festive season in Tamil Nadu, it is one of the dish (Vadai - Payasam).

There are many different types of food in South India. One of them is Vadai. There are many different types. It is Methu Vadai - மெதுவடை

It is prepared with Black-gram.

Preparation:

First, soak the Black-gram in water, After soaking (1Hr) grind in wedgrinder or mixe add less water and grind.

After that add:

Finley chopped Onion, Green Chilly, Ginger, Curry leaves, Coriander leaves, one tablespoon raw rice powder and Salt as needed.

Mix well then.

1 . Heat oil in a deep heavy bottom pan on a medium heat till hot enough .

2 . Take small portions of batter . Shape to a ball , slightly flatten with thumb, Make a hole in the center .

3 . Gently slide that in the hot oil

4 . Fry medu vada till they turn golden on both sides

5 . After golden colour comes Take that and place it in the plates. Serve with low heat.
