Mesmerizing Moments at Majestic Manali

Manali is a beautiful paradise located in the hills of Northern India. It is famous for a lot of things like adventure activities, cool climate, snow-capped mountains, picturesque landscapes, handicrafts, food, and shopping. A sudden plan was made with my college friends for the weekend in April 2019 and we made arrangements for the trip.

Day 1. Arriving with excitement at its peak!

We started our trip from Delhi in the night by bus. It was a magnificent journey. After crossing lots of zigzag

roads, as we were approaching the valley, the stream burbles of Beas River water was offering soothing effect and we filled with positive energy. We reached the destination and checked-in to the hotel. In the afternoon, we visited the Hadimba Devi Temple. The ancient cave temple is located at Dhungiri Van vihar covered with cedar trees. It was built in 1553. We went to Mall road from there. It was a lovely walk where we found yak rides and people dressing up to click pictures in Manali traditional dresses. Mall road was lined up with shops, hotels & restaurants, bus station, and many travel agencies.

Day 2. Exploring Manali

Next Day, We planned to visit Rohtang Pass but it was inaccessible due to heavy snow so we headed to the alternate destination Gulaba. It was a complete visual treat to us. We enjoyed a lot with the snow, created snowman, click photos. The breathtaking views of white hills around were just mesmerizing. From there we moved towards Solang valley. We also enjoyed the fun of zipline in midway. The panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains from Solang Valley was amazing. We enjoyed many activities like Skiing, Zorbing, Snow Tubing, Snow scootering and Yak ride here.

Day 3. Bundling the memories & Goodbye Manali!

On our last day, we spent our time mostly at

Beas Riverside where we enjoyed the cool breeze and scenic beauty. We also did some shopping and enjoyed the charismatic Mall Road. In the evening around 5 pm, we boarded our bus with a bundle of wonderful memories to cherish and said goodbye to the valley.

How long was the bus ride from Delhi?

Yes It was awsome trip. It took about 15 hours from Delhi to Manali via Semi-Sleeper Bus. Not very hard but just one need to be prepared to walk and climb at high altitude and survive in the low temperatures as it is completely different from Delhi.

I bet the bus ride is a part of the experience @me_abhijeetgarg and if the ride is full of beautiful views then 15 hours is probably not that bad.

Where I’m from you can go from one end of the country to the other in about 4 hours with the bus so that long of a drive seems surreal, but I have a feeling the end destination will feel so much more worth it when you finally arrive.

While watching them, our excitement got doubled and we were more eager to reach the final destination.
