Hai. Im Fathi. Im from Lampung, Indonesia but I study at Yogyakarta. I love to share one of the best experience in my life. Sunrise on the top of Mount Merapi was one of the best moment that I’ve ever had.
We can reach top of Merapi at least 5-6 hours from basecamp. Merapi should be the place that people like to climbing or hiking mountain. Merapi is a historical place that describes imaginary line. From Merapi trough the Keraton of Yogyakata until south beach is a straight line that has a certain meaning.
I had at least five times climbing mountain as long as I study at Yogyakarta. But Merapi still one of the best moment to see the sunrise. Because on the other mountain I can’t see the view of sunrise.
