【Meow Ho】 Google Connect Live Application 2020

My name is Meow, I work as a flight attendant for a major airline in Taiwan. Also a Google Level 5 local guide.

My friends gave me the nickname of “Seasons girl” because of my passion for travel and trying out local food in different seasons; this was the main reason why I chose to be a flight attendant. My job allows me to travel around the world, providing me opportunities to experience different cultures, appreciate the unique seasonal sceneries and food. I got to enjoy the spring cherry blossom in Japan, a casual walk along La Jolla Cove coastline in sunny California, the vibrant red autumn leaves in South Korea and Canada, and the famous ball drop during the new year countdown with a huge crowd at New York Time Square.

I also got to taste the fresh and juicy In-N-Out burger in California, a plate of fish and chips in London, sweet and colorful French macarons in Paris, and spongy lamington dipped in chocolate and coated with desiccated coconut in Australia. I am truly in love with all these sceneries and the unique cuisine.

To have a great deal of travel experiences require lots of research and planning. This is where Google steps in to help, like my 24/7 personal assistant. I use it extensively to look up many travel-related information before I arrive at my destination, such as where to go, when is the best time to go, what are the must-see and must eat from the area, how to get from point A to point B and how long it would take from point A to B…etc. It helps me to map out my whole travel itinerary, so I can relax and enjoy my trip once I get there.

Because I have always had great travel experiences by using Google to plan my trip, I started thinking about sharing the information with others. During last December for work I landed in Thailand, where I went to a local mom-and-pop stand named Khao Soy Mae Sai after a friend’s recommendation. They are famous for their Khao Soy, a Thai curry noodle soup well-balanced with spicy, salty, sour and sweet flavors. Although it’s not a fancy place, it serves the best Thai curry noodle soup I’ve ever had. Therefore, I left my review for this place, hoping I can share this yummy food to my fellow Google users. To my surprise, there have been 2452 views since February 25 of this year. Many people went and gave it a try and also gave out very positive feedbacks as well; I am overjoyed to see that my review has allowed other people to experienced authentic local favor.

Every once a while, I would get an email notification from Google, letting me know how many people have viewed my reviews and pictures. This makes me feel proud knowing that the inputs I had provided to people are very useful information. Because of my passion for traveling and photo-sharing, I was extremely excited when I found out that I could share my travel experiences and photos on Google, not only with my friends, but with all the Google users worldwide. I’m thrilled to find out that my pictures and reviews have had a positive social influence to the viewers, allowing them to have great experiences and at the same time, providing the stores with opportunities for improvement. I’m most happy that my reviews allow me to make new friends and befriend the many shops I’ve come across while I’m doing my favorite activity – sharing with others. I am hoping I can continue sharing all my passion with more people in the future. So, Google, please choose me!!! I hope to see you on Connect Live 2020! See you!
