Worldwide Photo Walk Melbourne (24 Feb 2018).

This is part of the World Wide Photo Walk and we are showcasing Melbourne.

Whether you are an amateur or professional, you are all welcome.

We’ll be meeting at 1/1:15 pm at Deborah Halpern’s “]Angel” at Birrarung Marr and finish up at QV for some Malaysian dessert about 4:30 pm.

Hi Paul

Just looking at the weather for Melbourne.

More than 50% chance of rain in the afternoon.

If it were you, at which point would you decide to call it off or not if the weather continues as it is predicted? On the morning itself?

Or would you still meet up and see what happens?

Do you know if I were to use the cancel event button if it sends out an announcement to everyone who has already registered to come along? That’s if I’ve used up my three announcements.

Hi @MariaNgo looks like showers and a bit of wind. I wouldn’t worry about calling it off. I’d go ahead. After all if it starts to piss down you can all drop into a cafe or some public space to wait it out. I think you’ll be ok. Besides it’s Melbourne, just wait 5 minutes :wink:

You’ll do great @MariaNgo - it is awesome of you to lead a walk by the way. I wish I could come.

I will be at a place we laughingly call the Bat Cave teaching abseiling to Scout Leaders.

BTW I’ve changed the meet up location to

Flinders Street Train Station, under the big clock, near the front steps - just inside. The main photo of this Meetup as it so happens (!).

Have posted two announcements already. Told them I’ll be wearing a white San Francisco baseball cap and a dark blue backpack.

Hope everyone will get the notification.

BTW, how long do you normally wait for people to turn up before moving on with the show?
