(Dang I keep getting distracted reading other posts and hangout chats. Taking forever to write this.)
I’m travelling with some friends to New York City from 19 Sept to 3 October later this year.
Hoping to meet some local guides and get your advice on secret best places to go. =D Can’t wait to try all the awesome food I’m hearing about. (yes the Halal Guys have been mentioned many times)
Hi @JulienH . I’d love to finally meet you, so do let me know once your plans firm up. I plan on being in town (a weekend might be impacted for a friend’s bachelorette party) but otherwise, woohoo! There are a lot of things to do here in NYC so are you just interested in anything under the usual radar or any other info you could share? Here’s a My Map I’ve created with some favorites that I MUST update and add to a list ASAP.
@Charlie_S Can you share some tips before you leave us?
I’ll most likely check out the music scene, look for chill bars/cafes with live music.
Eclectic/hipster stuff is always interesting too.
The friends I’m travelling with are basically there for the musicals. Like they are serious musical people so there’s nothing about it that could be too trivial or obscure.
Hi @JulienH ! I’m afraid that I’m now going to be going to Buenos Aires for work so I’m not going to be able to meet up with you. I’m so bummed, I know!!! :-/
That’s right @OSAMA , we are pleased to attend a Meetup with @FaridTDF here Buenos Aires with @TraciC ! will be next saturday, where we will meet her in person!!!
Haha, it’s not top secret, @OSAMA as we knew others would share. I am looking forward to meeting @FaridTDF , @MaxWalsh and others in Buenos Aires. Woohoo! Let’s map this world!!
