Hello everybody!

My name is Juriy, and it’s my first post ?

I am from Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.

I love my native city, but I also love travelling and have already managed to visit 25 countries.

And every time I visit a new place, I am again and again convinced of how beautiful my hometown is.

Kiev is a incredible city located on high hills along the Dnieper. This is one of the oldest cities of the Slavic world with a unique culture and friendly people.

When I have free time I like to walk through the streets of my hometown, I always take a lot of photos and try to learn more about different places.

I communicate with the owners of small shops, I go to cozy cafes or just take pictures of fancy sculptures, stunning views, food in restaurants and ordinary everyday life of the city.

I already had a peculiar collection of benches, sculptures and doors. I post my photos on Google maps, as well as on my Facebook and Instagram account.

More than 2 years ago, I joined the Local Guide community up, I’ve already reached level 7, and my photos were seen by more than 3.6 million Google Maps users.

I am very grateful to Google for this amazing project that helps people learn more about our world, and also share their impressions of what they see.

I really hope that one day I will be lucky to attend a meeting with other experts, like me, where we can share our experience.

And what thing you like most about Kiev ?

Hi @JaneBurunina, I can’t say exactly which country is the best, every country is good in its own way, every place I visited was amazing. I enjoy traveling around Asia. I like India, China and Nepal very much, but Turkey is no less interesting. In India, I was like a fairy tale, I visited 11 cities … But last year I went to Norway and visited another fairy tale. Our planet is amazing. Many more places where I would like to go. I like Spain and Belgium, Germany and France, I was delighted with Holland and I was interested in Denmark. But I also love to travel in my own country. We have amazing places. Welcome to Ukraine, to Kiev!
