Meeting a New World

Meeting a New World

We never know what to change, until that change arrives and drags us with it in a surprisingly good way. That was how I had the opportunity to get to know the Program’s Local Guide. I have never had the opportunity to travel, or at least I was unaware that it was easier than imagining. Having an entire community with real information about places I never thought existed or offered, ended up making my life more joyful. The opportunity to make new friends in every place that I go, is something extraordinary and without a doubt the best experience I could ever imagine.
One of those experiences is when some kind of notification arrives on my cell phone, informing me of my photos reaching a new record. I stop whatever I’m doing to find out which a new place I am helping someone to visit.
It is very exciting, because it is kind of complicated to have to work, study and still take time for some entertainment, but when we make it and we still have the possibility to transmit it, and feel this recognition, man! It makes me really speechless.

It is always difficult to explain with words when it replaces good or bad feelings. When they are good, you just want to enjoy that wonderful moment, with the fear this can pass in the blink of an eye. And when they are not so good, nervousness and anguish can blind you. But when you are reproducing these feelings as a Local Guide, everything becomes different. There is a need to convey these feelings, whether they are good or not. Because the feeling of accomplishment when your comment, feedback or your photo, can help a person to know something wonderful place or also avoid some kind of discontent. It makes my experience as a Local Guide something extraordinary. Having the chance to convey feelings in such a troubled world is simply incredible. And I am grateful for that.
