Nelson is the star of the show in the Tiger Temple in The Australia Zoo in Sunshine Coast,Queensland. He was born in June 2019 with parents Kaitlyn and Ranu who also live with Nelson in the Tiger Temple. As the new generation of the Sumatran Tiger family, Nelson is the Ambassador of the Wild Tiger Conservation. He is being trained for adulting because he is still so naughty, impulsive and aggressive.
Yes…this is a real tiger… I think this is Ranu the father of Nelson. No worries,he is behind thick glass enclosure.
Because Nelson is still a baby, he is still scared of the deep side of the pool, so when he becomes naughty and starts charging on the handler, the handler would jump into the deep-side of the pool coz Nelson will not follow…he is starting to get more confident in the water though and he is barely a year old.
Nelson loves to play but his play is “Carino Brutal”
I love animals but I am not usually of a “Zoo person” coz I believe that animals should be left to freely roam in the wild but I also acknowledge the conservation efforts of the Wildlife Warriors to keep the generations of these beautiful creatures from going endangered and extinct. There are environments that are not conjucive for animals to be left vulnerable to human abuse and other external environmental hazards. Kudos for these people who take care of the world’s wildlife diversity and making sure that these animals live in an environment closest to their wild habitat. Visiting sanctuaries with a cause is indirectly supporting conservation efforts.
